Brief Description of Duties:

The Lesch lab at Yale School of Medicine is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual with a strong interest in molecular biology and genetics who wants to help build a newly-established lab. Our goal as a lab is to understand how packaging of the genome in male gametes (sperm) influences the information transmitted across generations, both on single-generation and evolutionary time scales. See our website at leschlab.org for more information.

The successful applicant will be involved in mouse breeding, molecular biology experiments, and data analysis, will help with lab management, and will be expected to participate in scientific discussions and day-to-day lab activities. This is an excellent opportunity for exceptional recent university graduates interested in going on to graduate or medical school and looking to gain laboratory and leadership experience. A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a molecular biology laboratory is required. Applicants should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and will ideally commit to the lab for two years.
